Wary of how my sight was faring after surviving Covid and 6 months straight of looking at a computer from 9-5, I nervously embarked on my first eye test in 2 years. The front desk was nothing but cordial and understanding of my slight tardiness because I had filled out required information per their suggestion beforehand. There was full transparency of fees and the process from having me seated, getting me seen, and walking out the door was seamless. My eye test felt quick, but thorough, with no room for doubt. The techs were patient with my unfamiliarity with specific testing procedures and knowledgeably explained the importance of each step in full. Dr. Majmundar was comprehensive in her analysis of the inner workings of my eye. She intuitively pinpointed a new development I had not previously known, but had the care to not frighten me and ensured I would just need to observe it for now. She left me feeling not only confident about my eye sight, but also in some sense, superior.

The reviews here scared me off a bit, but personally it was a pleasant experience. Quick, no hassle at the front desk, friendly staff, no additional “surprise” charges. There’s an optional test which they let you know multiple times that it will have additional cost (when you sign a form and right before the test - costs $39). I didn’t end up getting glasses or contacts here, but otherwise the exam and diagnosis was great!

Very disorganized and have been waiting since.....October for resolution..... It's now December so I went into MOV to return the improper lenses. The office mgr said she would get back to me on Monday, Dec 11 as she would be in that day as would Dr. Ngo. Well. It's Tuesday, Dec 12 6pm and have not heard a peep. The office mgr kept telling me what my file said which was incorrect. She admitted short staffing so instead of just apologizing, taking the lenses and refunding me she argued with me about her needing to do her due diligence about what I was telling her. I'm extremely frustrated. Original review: I have been a patient at MVO for 30 + years and this past year has been the worst experience ever. Dr. Ngo rushed me through the apt like I was in a cattle call. Which she said "well we have 50 other patients to see today. Then I had to call the office 4 times to get my prescription updated - they said "We will leave a msg with Dr. Ngo." I called 3 more times. Then, "Oh, Dr. Ngo is OOO today and tomorrow." The prescription was updated but no one called me to tell me that so I had to call again and go in on a Saturday to pick up the lenses. I get home and THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG LENS. Now, I'm actually on the phone with them again, after a 16:34 wait time and they again have to "leave a msg with Dr. Ngo" before they can reissue the correct lens. So far my time on the phone 26:53. Also "oh we don't have them in stock. It will take 2-3 weeks to get them." I see Stephanie N. has the same issues. This is very disappointing coming from MVO.

I scheduled an appointment for 10 am. Months in advance. I have been seeing Dr Hur for 30 years and she’s great. Today I was 9 minutes late for the very FIRST time and they tell me I have to be rescheduled because I was past the 15 minute deadline. That my appmt was at 9:55. What the heck??!! You can’t change the appointment time like that! This is the first time in 30 years I’m late and all of a sudden my appointment time was changed? The front desk has always been awful. I’ve only remained here because I like Dr Hur. Going somewhere else for sure now!! And the front desk was acting like 9:55 was a normal appointment time. Who does that? NO ONE SCHEDULES an appointment at 9:55. You can’t change times like that!
